Divinely-guided history

The purpose of this website

This is an ongoing project to document the evidence of divine guidance throughout human history; which through the receptivity of a few led to the understanding of the existence of our one true God, good, and began this process of freeing us of false idols and material gods; and this then led us through Biblical times up to Christ Jesus teaching us how to free ourselves of all attempts at spiritual slavery; which in turn brought out the murderous intent of the human mind to subjugate by taking on the appearance of holiness and benevolence while working tirelessly to immerse the world in centuries of darkness and depravity by both spitting on the name “Christian” while yet simultaneously presenting themselves as the true followers of Jesus and pretending they have his authority and dominion over the Earth; and every single attempt to undo that destructive monopoly only turned into other people and organizations wanting as much of that human power as they could grab for themselves while equally refusing to acknowledge Jesus' words that “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24) and “as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise” (Luke 6:31); this ultimately culminated in the need for the Pilgrims to leave the old world for the new to free themselves of that organizational and denominational slavery so that they might practice that pure form of Christianity as Jesus himself taught; but the immoral darkness of materialism they attempted to leave behind followed them and through force and the supposed “divine right of kings” once again took control of a new land and plundered its resources; but this evil was eventually exposed to such a degree that the need to break the shackles of governmental slavery was readily apparent and brought on the Revolutionary War which created the United States of America; and then came the subsequent, and much needed, purification of the evil of physical slavery in the Civil War; which then provided the uniquely suitable environment for Mary Baker Eddy to discover Christian Science thereby giving all mankind the means to purify ourselves of every attempt of mental slavery and thus find our promised state of individual freedom in God while learning how to denounce all ongoing attempts to reinstate false, material gods and defend ourselves against every form of spiritual, denominational, governmental, physical, mental, financial, political, organizational, and personal slavery by understanding that there is no power or selfhood apart from the one God, good, in whom “we live, and move, and have our being.” (Acts 17:28)

What did God create us to be? Are we meant to be slaves of humanly-devised systems, or are we free-born children of God here to bless others by expressing God's qualities in all we do?

Genesis 1 : 1 to 2 : 5 illustrated what mankind was divinely created to be: Free expressions and manifestations of God, and accountable directly to Him, with no legitimate place for anyone else in between us and our maker. The desire to either lean on our own human understanding, or to leave the spiritual “heavy lifting” to others, has made it so that there is a long history of this lie that says it is “God's Will” that some lead and other are led, and that some enslave and others are enslaved, but it does not change the fact that this is a lie and to believe that lie is to be mesmerized.

Why would people seek to be ruled by a king? Didn't anyone warn them?

In I Samuel 8 : 4-22, we have the story of people seeking a king:

“Then all the elders of Israel gathered themselves together, and came to Samuel unto Ramah, And said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations. But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto the Lord. And the Lord said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them. According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt even unto this day, wherewith they have forsaken me, and served other gods, so do they also unto thee. Now therefore hearken unto their voice: howbeit yet protest solemnly unto them, and shew them the manner of the king that shall reign over them. And Samuel told all the words of the Lord unto the people that asked of him a king. And he said, This will be the manner of the king that shall reign over you: He will take your sons, and appoint them for himself, for his chariots, and to be his horsemen; and some shall run before his chariots. And he will appoint him captains over thousands, and captains over fifties; and will set them to ear his ground, and to reap his harvest, and to make his instruments of war, and instruments of his chariots. And he will take your daughters to be confectionaries, and to be cooks, and to be bakers. And he will take your fields, and your vineyards, and your oliveyards, even the best of them, and give them to his servants. And he will take the tenth of your seed, and of your vineyards, and give to his officers, and to his servants. And he will take your menservants, and your maidservants, and your goodliest young men, and your asses, and put them to his work. He will take the tenth of your sheep: and ye shall be his servants. And ye shall cry out in that day because of your king which ye shall have chosen you; and the Lord will not hear you in that day. Nevertheless the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel; and they said, Nay; but we will have a king over us; That we also may be like all the nations; and that our king may judge us, and go out before us, and fight our battles. And Samuel heard all the words of the people, and he rehearsed them in the ears of the Lord. And the Lord said to Samuel, Hearken unto their voice, and make them a king. And Samuel said unto the men of Israel, Go ye every man unto his city.”

Is there a solution so that we can free ourselves of the control and domination of the human mind?

Throughout history there have been many times of oppression and many times that God has guided people out of slavery. This cycle will never end unless mankind looks to Mary Baker Eddy's pure Christian Science to find that:

“God has endowed man with inalienable rights, among which are self-government, reason, and conscience. Man is properly self-governed only when he is guided rightly and governed by his Maker, divine Truth and Love.
Man's rights are invaded when the divine order is interfered with, and the mental trespasser incurs the divine penalty due this crime.” — S&H, p. 106
